The Sherman Oaks/Encino Chamber of Commerce is gathering resources and information to help our members and local businesses navigate the wildfires that are drastically impacting our communities and changing our Los Angeles landscape.

Newer Information and updates:
- Together for LA: Hosting weekly Friday morning webinars for small businesses to get the latest resources and updates on recovery. Sign-up here to receive the login information and/or view past recordings.
- Small Business and Worker Relief funds: Grants are for small businesses, nonprofits, and workers displaced and impacted by the wind and wildfire disaster. Application deadline extended to Sunday, March 12th at 5pm. Apply here.
- LA County Household Relief Grant Program: Grants are for essential needs such as living expenses and repairs not covered by other forms of assistance. The online application is open through March 12th. For more information and to apply, visit here.
- Right of Entry Form: Required debris removal form must be completed by March 31st. You can access the form here.
- Sandbag Locations: Available on the L.A. Emergency Management Department website. Palisades Fire: Property owners still under evacuation orders can call LA County Public Works for assistance in storm preparation (800-675-4357).
- Air Quality: Continue to monitor air quality, especially with smoke and ash in the air. N95 masks are available at local libraries and recreation centers.
- Mayor Bass issues Executive Order regarding wildfires. Read it here.
- City Disaster Recovery Centers are open daily from 9am-7pm and more information can be found here:
- Westside: UCLA Research Park, formerly known as the Westside Pavilion, at 10850 Pico Blvd., Los Angeles, 90064, at the intersection of Westwood & Pico.
- Eastside: Altadena Disaster Recovery Center at 540 W Woodbury Road, Altadena, 91001. Note: This location serves as a a one-stop shop and you can find more information here.
- FEMA Resource Centers are open as follows:
- Sherman Oaks East Valley Adult Center at 5056 Van Nuys Blvd Building B, Sherman Oaks, CA 91403 is open Tuesday-Friday, 9am-5pm.
- Ritchie Valens Recreation Center at 10736 Laurel Canyon Blvd, Pacoima, CA 91331 is open Tuesday-Friday 9am-3pm & Saturday 1pm-6pm.
- Dedicated hotline for those who need help retrieving pets inside the evacuation area. Please contact 213-270-8155 for assistance.
- Red Cross Financial Assistance: Complete and submit this registration form to see if you qualify for financial assistance. Application must be completed by February 26th.
- NEW! Impacted Worker and Family Recovery Centers are open Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm at the following locations:
- West LA WorkSource Center and AJCC: JVS-SoCal, 5446 Sepulveda Blvd., Culver City, 90230, 310-309-6000.
- Northeast San Fernando Valley WorkSource Center and AJCC: Mission College, 13356 Eldridge Ave., Campus Center, Sylmar, 91342, 818-482-1754.

- Non-life-threatening emergencies or to report price gouging: Dial 311 or visit the MyLA311 website or app
- County of Los Angeles Emergency Information: website to sign up for alerts, see maps of emergency location, find shelters and recovery resources, and more here or call 211.
- UnifiedLA provides emergency public information on large-scale incidents and planned events when multiple City of Los Angeles agencies activate as a Joint Information Center (JIC). Subscribe for updates here.
- CalFire: information on current, active fires can be found here.
- Economic & Workforce Development Department: Resources available for impacted businesses and workers available here.
- California Department of Insurance: teams are ready to assist evacuees and people impacted. For questions or support, visit here or call 800-927-4357.
- Small Business Administration: Low-interest federal disaster loans are available to Southern California businesses, homeowners, renters, and private nonprofit organizations. They also have Economic Injury Disaster Loans available. The application is open until March 12th. Apply online or receive more information here or call 800-659-2955.
- FEMA assistance can be found here or call 800-621-3362. The deadline to apply for federal assistance is March 10, 2025.
- LA County Assessor: Property Tax relief through the Misfortune and Calamity program can be found here or call 213-974-3211.

Donation drop-off locations and items being accepted:
- StitchSpace LA: Drop off Monday-Saturday between 10am-6pm at 13753 Ventura Blvd., Sherman Oaks. Items requested: working sewing machines, clean fabric and supplies, yarn, crochet and knitting supplies, and other relevant sewing & craft materials.
- North Hollywood Food Pantry: Drop off Mondays Wednesdays, and Fridays between 9-11am at 11634 Moorpark Street, Studio City. Items requested: non-perishable food items, sack lunches (sandwich, beverage, chips, cookie), Diapers (sizes 3-6), Wipes, Dog & cat food, Toiletries (bar soap, deodorant, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, combs, razors, hand sanitizer).
Locations/organizations offering free or discounted rates, services, and items:
- The Economic and Workforce Development Department's Rapid Response Team: Offering no-cost help to those who lost their jobs because of the recent fires. Job loss orientations take place Monday-Friday at 10am and 6pm. Register here for English or here for Spanish orientations.
- Barrister Executive Suites: For those whose daily workplace has been impacted by the fires, they are offering free office space at any Southern California location, even if you are not a current client/tenant. Contact by email here or call 800-576-0744 for more information.
- Hillside Wellness Center: Offering free therapy to individuals and families who have lost a pet or their home due to the fires. This program runs until March 1st. Visit here for more information or call 424-261-9444.
- She Is Hope LA: Providing personal hygiene kits, clothing, and food. Visit here or call 818-515-3250.
- Child Care Resource Center: Providing families with referrals, emergency or back up childcare, as well as critical resources for parents and childcare providers. Visit here for more information.
