Sherman Oaks Business Improvement District
The Village at Sherman Oaks Business Improvement District stretches along Van Nuys Boulevard from just south of the 101 to Ventura Boulevard, and spans Ventura Boulevard from Van Nuys Boulevard to just west of Cedros. The Village at Sherman Oaks BID aims to provide Sherman Oaks residents and visitors a place that fosters a sense of community and culture where people will relax, shop, and play closer to their homes and work. Participants in the BID believe that their investment will help enhance the economic vitality of the area, which stands to benefit all property owners and residents within Sherman Oaks and its adjoining communities. |
Sherman Oaks Beautification Committee
A volunteer organization founded in 2005 to identify, facilitate, implement, and maintain beautification projects for the community of Sherman Oaks. It will coordinate maintenance efforts on existing street tree projects and initiate and maintain new projects such as street medians, new street trees, freeway ramps, sidewalks, graffiti removal and other appropriate projects. It was founded by four core constituent groups: Sherman Oaks Business Improvement District, Sherman Oaks Chamber of Commerce, Sherman Oaks Homeowners Association and the Sherman Oaks Neighborhood Council. |
